Classic Golf & Country Club ****

The Classic is a Jack Nicolaus designed course, the first south Asian one, designed by him. The drive to the course is approx. one hour from the New Delhi Marriott hotel I stayed.

It is a challenging course with various water hazards and very fast greens. However I did enjoy playing, there have been many courses where my bad game was compensated by fab surroundings and course environment. If you are in the area, play. If you have to drive for many hours, don’t bother.

When we arrived on the 17th, the marshall came to get us from the course because of a sudden thunderstorm. We could not see anything, only the wind picked up. Crossing the 18th to the club house, the sky was black and the rain formed a water curtain. He was right…. The service was top. We even received half of the green fee back when we entered the 19th due to the rain.
