Doña Julia Golf Resort ****

Situated in a Strategic location of the Costa del Sol, “Doña Julia” is a Golf Course which is perfectly integrated in a natural environment set in an area offering magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Coast of North Africa. The panoramic sea and mountain views, make Doña Julia a spectacular course so you will really enjoy. We played there many times and it was never a disappointment.

Holes 1, 2 and 3 are relative easy and forgiving. That said take a club more if in doubt. Hole 4 is a spectacular view after you come out of the tunnel and is a dog leg to the left. I hooked it ones and still got to the green with my next shot, playing from the 10th fairway. Hole 8 is also a favorite hole. As for the 18th, don’t leave it short.

At some parts of the course you will see many apartments and houses in all building stages Here is a sad sample what happened after the crisis starting in 2007. What a waist.

Playing in the Marbella area: put Doña Julia on your list. It certainly is one of my favorite courses in the area. Oh yeh, when on the 19th (a very simple clubhouse by the way), order a San Miguel and some pata negra (Jamón ibérico)!
