On the 3rd day of our panoramic train trip through Switzerland, we took the train from Lucerne to Davos. We booked The Grischa, Das Hotel Davos, a luxurious hotel located walking distance from the center of Davos, close to the ski lifts and direct opposite the train station Davos Platz. The hotel was constructed in 2011 by its Dutch owners, the Parrée family.

It's known for its elegant and modern design, combining traditional Alpine elements with contemporary style. The hotel features a striking exterior with a combination of natural wood and stone, typical of Swiss architecture. Inside, the decor is sophisticated and warm, with a blend of rich wooden textures, plush furnishings, and modern amenities.

Rooms

The room, we got an upgrade to a junior suite, was spacious, offering stunning views of the Swiss Alps. It has everything you need from a comfortable bed to a luxury bathroom.

Restaurants

The hotel also boasts several fine dining restaurants, each with its unique ambiance and cuisine, ranging from local Swiss specialties to international dishes. The latest restaurant addition is the Apollo, a gastronomic place for fine dining. Some of the restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. We had dinner outside that evening.

The Grischa is also renowned for its exceptional service and is a popular choice for both leisure and business travelers seeking a high-end experience in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
