Hotel Du Lac ****

Hotel Du Lac is located at the lake of Annecy. The room was in high season (August) 131 euro per night and it was a pleasant stay.

It is what I would call a good 3-star hotel according to hotel rating standards. That said, I give it one more star. The reason is very simple. The hotel is located just a relative short distance from the center of Annecy. Walking is likely no an option because it is some 11-12 kilometer from the Annecy center. It is right at the lake and with very nice views.

I liked the outside area, nice in the shadow with a glass of wine of for dinner when the weather allows. The rooms are fine, nothing fancy but good. The pool area is quiet standard but also her, good enough, after a long drive, arriving at the hotel and go for a swim on a warm summer day.

Dinner was good and the chilled bottle of white wine was very nice as well. So overall, given the relative low price and what you get back, form me worth 4 stars.
