K+K Restaurant am Waagplatz ***

The K+K am Waagplatz restaurant is a nice traditional Austrian restaurant with different areas with their own style.

The restaurant has a number of different areas including the K+K cellar, a nice location for a drink party. Early 2020 we had dinner in the Salzburger Stube on the first floor. At the time it was very quiet with only one more table occupied.

The menu card is not flooded with dishes but a good enough selection of (most) local dishes that give a taste of Austria. We both selected a nice pate. The bread served with it was almost like cake and was a pleasant started in combination with the berry chutney.

The Asian style dish (yes I know… had nothing to do with Austrian taste) was very nice and the traditional Wiener style schnitzel was as it should, cooked to perfection.

The K+K is just a few hundred meters from the Radisson Blu Altstadt hotel where we stayed.
