The La Cala Golf & Country Club offer 3 superb championship courses, each presenting its own unique challenges, slot seamlessly into a natural undulating backdrop of stunningly beautiful trees and flowers, rich with birds and wildlife.

We’re passionate about our golfing pedigree and it shows. Designed by the renowned Cabell Robinson, each 18-hole course has been created to ensure a testing, yet truly exhilarating experience.

Asia

La Cala is a Formerly the South Course, the spectacular Campo Asia has plenty of challenging holes, guaranteeing a testing round of golf which puts a premium on the approach shot. The oldest of the three courses and the one most respected, it is narrow and short, with five par holes demanding skill and strategy. Look out for the 10th with its classic design, and the 5th where the aim of your drive is especially critical. The 18th requires full concentration. Remember not to over-club off the tee or this lengthy par 5 could spoil your scorecard.

Driving up from the A7, it will take you at least 15 minutes and when we did on a late October morning, the rain was pouring down big time. So what to do, cancel our tee-time and try to book another course closer to the sea with less chance of rain or wait. We could change our tee-time to an hour later and step by step, the rain disappeared. An hour later, we could start. Sunshine, a little drizzle and a beautiful rainbow, we got it all.

The Asia course is beautiful.

The greens are superb and the fairways well maintained. Some of the holes give you a fantastic view of the area and as said before, I think it is one of the better courses in the area. Just another great day out with my friends.

Europa

This autumn (2023), my wife and I played the Europa course. A dramatic course but easier for the average golfer, with generous fairways, flatter terrain and slightly larger greens than Campo America and Asia. Notable for one main bridge and four smaller bridges across the River Ojén, which features in eight holes, cutting across three fairways.

Water hazards guard the 3rd and 14th greens. The 14th is at the maximum limit of what is allowed for a par 3 at 233 metres. The par 5 11th is the longest hole at 524 metres.
