Quail Hollow is a challenging 18-hole golf course nestled in the Boise foothills featuring stunning views of the Treasure Valley and an abundance of wildlife. The course was first opened in 1982 under the name “Shamana” and was designed by Bruce Devlin/Robert von Hagge. Since its opening, it has undergone several transformations, including the changing of its name to “Quail Hollow Golf Club” and now "Quail Hollow Golf Course".

Quail Hollow can be a challenging course to play, as it includes strategically placed hazards, elevation changes, and sloped greens. I played Quail Hollow tens of times as it is one of my favorite courses in the greater Boise area with colleagues and friends who live in the region.

The first is already a nice dog leg to the left. Just hit it straight and you can go with a wedge to the green, you need to miss the water! The 3drd hole is a great par 3. You hit it on the green or you are toasted and have to go all the way down and play it up with a high iron some 20-30 meters. The 10th is another great hole. Secure play is a must here. The 18th is a great hole as well. When you hit your driver well, you have all the room to land.

The price is just crazy. For some $40 you can play a round.
