What a great experience the lunch was at Wiesen (thanks Sven and Geert). The Wiesen restaurant was awarded with one Michelin Star in 2014. The restaurant is named after the owner, Patron Cuisinier Yuri Wiesen.

On their website, Yuri explains that when a little boy, he played with pots and pans and had a passion for special dishes. He started as in the kitchen when he was 16 and opened his own restaurant in 2010.

What I liked most at Wiesen is the relaxed atmosphere. The casual environment, classic with a modern touch let you enjoy your lunch or dinner in a very pleasant way. Since I visited Wiesen the last time, the interior was renewed (pictures below are from the new interior, from the restaurants website).

The food they prepared for us was a 3 course surprise lunch where of course any special wishes or allergies were taken into account. One of the reasons I like Wiesen is that they served Bavette, one of my favourite meat dishes. On a beautiful summer day with a good glass of Sancerre, what more can you wish for.

For a Michelin Star restaurant, the prices are very good and below what you expect from a restaurant in the class. If in the Eindhoven area, make a reservation for lunch or dinner at Wiesen. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks Yuri and team!
